Rhonda Towns kicked off the Saturday Riverfront stage shows singing her touching rendition of our National Anthem.
The first artist of the day was Joe Nichols. The crowd had started lining up at 6:00 am to see Nichols performance this morning. Joe's set was packed full of fan favorites, such as "Size Matters" and "What's A Guy Gotta Do."
Next, the Universal South artist performed his current single, "It Ain't No Crime" and "Brokenheartsville" to to the cheering crowd.
Joe wrapped up his set with his upcoming single, "Let's Get Drunk and Fight" and his number #1 single, "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off." Nichols' fans swayed and sang along to all his songs. As Nichols left the stage, many people packed up their belongings heading off to get in line at varies locations in hopes of obtaining an autograph from the country crooner.

On Saturday June 7th 2008, Jimmy Wayne braved the heat to perform in front of a packed crowd at the daytime riverfront stage during the CMA Music Festival. He introduced the audience to new music from his upcoming album called Do You Believe Me Now, scheduled for released on August 19, 2008.
Jimmy performed "I'll Be That For You" and "I Ain't Comin'Home," showing fans the growth in his musical style since his last album released in 2003.
Wayne closed his set with "It's Not Who You Were (It's Where You're Going)" and the title track of the new album "Do You Believe Me Now." After hearing Jimmy's performance, this is a must have album for any country music collector.
