The sound of screaming girls filled the arena as headliner Dierks Bentley took the stage, opening with "Every Mile A Memory" and "Can't Live It Down." Bentley worked the stage, performing to the entire audience with up beat songs like "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do" and "Cab of My Truck."

Reflecting Mr. Bentley's musical style, he performed "How Am I Doin'" and "Domestic, Light and Cold." Bentley's show was filled with his own material from his three albums: Dierks Bentley, Compare Prices, Modern Day Drifter Compare Prices and Long Trip Alone Compare Prices Refusing to do the traditional rock covers as most artists, Dierks performed Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" one of the only two covers in the show.

The crowd grew silent for "Settle for a Slow Down" but resumed their screams and cheers when Bentley performed "Tryin' to Stop Your Leavin'." The fans sang along to all of the songs Dierks' performed from his newest album, Long Trip Alone such as "Free and Easy Down the Road I Go" and "That Don't Make It Easy Lovin' Me."

After Dierks finished "So, So Long," the lights were turned down and the stage was re-arranged for an accoustic bluegrass set. Bentley sang "My Last Name," and "Train Travelin'," both songs he wrote and released on his self-titled debut. Dierks closed with hit singles "Come A Little Closer" and "What Was I Thinkin'."

The crowd screamed and chanted for Dierks until he entered the stage for the show encore. I had to hold back tears as Dierks once again brought silence to the roaring crowd during his first encore song, "Long Trip Alone." The audience jumped back to life when opening acts Eric Church and Miranda Lambert returned to the stage, joining Dierks singing Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues." After the show ended, the lights were turned up and the crowd started leaving the arena but all three artists remained on stage as they continued to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans that remained.

This was a great combination of talent as each artist enhanced the performance of the following artist. I especially liked that Dierks' show was filled with his own material and not his rendition of cover songs by other artists. Miranda Lambert flinging her hair wildly with her styling pink electic guitar really rocked the audience and was a great opener for Dierks's headlining show. Eric Church's story about how he became a country artist and song dedication added the right touch of humor to his set.

I highly recommend you attend the Dierks Bentley Live and Loud tour with opening acts Eric Church and Miranda Lambert when it's available in your area.
