Ahhh-ooooh-hooo ah, play somethin' country! What a night with Brooks and Dunn in Green Bay, WI. The 13 time CMA Duo of the Year were ready to party the moment they hit the stage with their hit single "Red Dirt Road," and certainly didn't disappoint.

The party was kicked off with newcomer Jack Ingram taking the stage first at 7pm sharp. Jack himself remarked on his so-called newcomer status joking that "it takes 10 years to be an overnight success."

This was the first time I've seen Ingram in concert and overall I was quite impressed. It's never easy for an opening act to captivate an audience who is most certainly there to see the headliners, but Jack held his own and brought enough energy to keep us all interested.

The highlight for me was when he performed a song that he dedicated to his dad called "Measure of a Man." It was fantastic. I did a little research on the song when I got home from the show and it reportedly will be the first single from his upcoming album, which should arrive in stores sometime in October. The song was written by Radney Foster.

Ingram led into his hit No. 1 single "Wherever You Are" joking about how having a hit single has allowed him to be cocky. Before playing his final song of the night Ingram said that it was his job to warm us up for Brooks and Dunn and how important it was to warm up first… "safety first, that's what Kix told me" he said to the crowd with a grin. Reminding us we were in Green Bay, Packer territory, Ingram's last words wished the fans a "great last year with Brett Farve."

Set List:

  • Never Knocked Me Down
  • Mustang Burn
  • Measure of a Man
  • Wherever You Are
  • Love You
