Next up was "Wal-Mart Parking Lot," then another sing-along with his first single, "My Love Goes On and On." The whole crowd was sure enjoying this show, as was Chris. You can tell how much he loves performing.

One of the girls by the stage said to him that it was her birthday. He asked her how old she was, and I think she said 27, and he said, "You look 15. But, that's a good thing." Next he said, "This next song is for you." Slowing down the tempo, the next song was "Miss Me Baby." He ended it saying "Miss you, California," and of COURSE everyone loved that!

Next we met the band, and Chris left the stage to cool off, and maybe dry off? Each band member played a little solo on their instrument, and then Chris came back and sang "It's Everything."

This next one is our current single, and I hope you'll request it if you like it. It's called "Anywhere But Here," Chris said.

Chris pointed out a few older fans in the audience that he saw singing along with every song and dancing. Most of the girls up by the stage were in their early 20s, and these ladies were maybe in their 40s or 50s. He told them how much he loved all this.. pointing to the young girls in the front, but that he really loved those older ladies that were singing and dancing too, and he offered to buy these two ladies (that were sitting a few rows behind Dianne and I) a beer. She said "How about a margarita?" He said sure.. and he called his road manager to the stage saying to bring up two margaritas.

Next up was "Country By The Grace of God," and after that, he left the stage. We knew there would be an encore, and a few minutes later, he came back with two margaritas in his hand, and just his guitar. He passed the drinks back to the ladies, and strapped on his guitar.

He said the last year and a half was hard for him personally and professionally, and he was sitting on the couch one night at home and he heard this song. He said, usually when people are stressed about things, they think about God or their family, but he said that when he heard this song, all he could think about was his fans. He said the fans are the "heartbeat" of the music business, and he thanked everyone for their support and would like to sing the song for us.

That song was "Fire and Rain." He changed the words a bit, and where it goes "I always thought that I'd see you again," he sang, "I always knew that I'd see you again." Really cool tribute to the fans. :)

The band returned and the next song was "What a Beautiful Day."

For the final song, Chris said, "Do you mind me preaching to you?" and he said "Scars heal!" "Glory fades!" "But we do what we do because the Chicks Dig It!"

What a great show! It was about 1 hour and 20 minutes long, including the encore. Chris was dripping in sweat by that time. He sure does give everything he has up there. I'll always go see him when he comes out my way. Great show!
