Paulette has a good voice, the song has good production values and the lyrics are good. The problem is that radio doesn't and won't play her anymore. It happens to many of the 'older voices' in every genre.
Craig Morgan - "Little Bit Of Love"
The first single from Craig Morgan's fourth album, "A Little Bit Of Love," is pure Craig Morgan. While he's a heck of a ballad singer, Craig actually prefers to record the uptempo stuff like this one. Produced by Keith Stegall, this song has me thinking that Craig's gonna go to the next level with this new record. This is a Top 10 hit.
John Anderson - "If Her Lovin' Don't Kill Me"
I first heard this song when Aaron Tippin recorded it a couple of years ago. It was a single and didn't do much for him. But when placed in the hands of John Anderson, this song absolutely smokes. Signed to R.A.Y.B.A.W/Warner Brothers Records, John Anderson looks like he's gonna have at least one more 'come back' in him. It's at least a Top 20 hit.
Mark Chesnutt - "Heard It In A Love Song"
This is Mark Chesnutt's first single from his next album (of the same name), a record that's mostly covers. Mark's distinct vocal manages to turn this 'southern rock' song into a stone country song. Very good. Hopefully, it's a hit for him and his new record label CBuJ Recordings.
Nickia - "Say Goodbye"
This is a new entry from a new artist and label. Nickia has a good voice and I think she could be a big hit in the AC market with this single. It's still country but not that much. Still, if she got some promotion and acceptance from radio, she could have a Top 40 hit with this song.
