Little Texas - "Missing Years"
Little Texas has always been a group with great harmonies, and this song shows off those harmonies well. It's a pretty little ballad that seems to take a while to get to the chorus, where it picks up a bit. Not bad, but I don't think it is a Top 10 tune, unfortunately.
Kristina Cornell - "Little Red Balloon"
Kristina is a new artist on Lofton Creek Records, home of Heartland. This is another ballad, about a young girl who writes messages to her dead father on little red balloons and sends them up to heaven. As she grows up, she continues to converse with her father this way. This is something that will touch anyone that has lost a parent. Kristina has a beautiful voice. Not sure how well this will do on Country Radio, but hopefully some stations will give it a try.
