George Strait - "Wrapped"
Have you ever heard a bad George Strait song? Nope, me either, and you won't be hearing one any time soon. I hear another number one calling out to George. This is the third single from his It Just Comes Natural CD.
Brad Paisley - "Ticks"
Brad Paisley can bring a tear to your eye with a beautiful, touching ballad, or make you roar with laughter at his humorous lyrics. This song is of the latter type. Where do the "Ticks" come in? Well, he says he'd love to take her out and check her for ticks. Who would have dreamed up that line? Only Brad. This is from his upcoming studio release, coming out this Summer.
Terri Clark - "Dirty Girl"
I just saw Terri in concert, and heard her sing this fun little song. Terri is at her best when she's singing the uptempo stuff, and this certainly applies. It's a suggestive title, but when you listen to the lyrics, she's talking about being in mud and working under the car, etc., and a lot of fun. This is the first single off her upcoming album, due out later this year.
Craig Morgan - "Tough"
I just love everything off Craig Morgan's Little Bit of Life, but this song especially is a great "message" song. The wife shows her strength as she battles a life-threatening disease, while taking care of the kids, the house, and her husband. He talks about how he once thought he was tough, but knows he's no competition for the strength she has. The song actually debuted on the charts this week at No. 54.
Lee Brice - "She Ain't Right"
This mid-tempo song by new Curb artist Lee Brice has got a bluesy, rock feel to it. He sings "She ain't right, but she's just right for me." Not too bad. Really like his voice. Lee's album will be out later this year.
Miranda Lambert - "Famous in a Small Town"
I've always liked Miranda's music, and her writing. This is got a great groove to it, and I think it will do pretty well for her. This is the second song off her upcoming May 1st release, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Her debut, Kerosene was just certified Platinum, giving her a big hurdle to pass, but she's got some great music, and I think she's going to do just fine.
