What's new on country radio?

Halfway To Hazard - "The Devil And The Cross"
I'm becoming a big fan of this new duo. This song is very relatable to people trying to stay grounded walking that line between good and evil. Even if you fall, there will always be a way to find forgiveness. That's a great message. Listen

Craig Morgan - "International Harvester"
One thing is certain - Craig Morgan knows what twang is all about! This time he's tackling a song told from a combine driver's perspective and gives a little attitude to boot! Great sounding and should do well at radio. Listen

Sugarland - "Stay"
This has to be one of the best vocal performances by Jennifer Nettles. It's so full of emotion and the simple accompaniment by Kristian Bush is perfect. Not only does the song pack a punch, the video does as well. With each tear that falls from Jennifer's eyes, you feel the pain right along with her. Listen

Faith Hill - "Red Umbrella"
From the short clip I've heard, the song isn't too bad as long as you aren't expecting it to be country sounding. It's got a good beat, which might be able to take it a good distance up the charts.

Shooter Jennings - "Walk Of Life"
I don't know what to say about Shooter singing this Dire Straits song. It isn't bad by any means, but I just never would have expected him to sing it. Makes me curious as to what will be on his upcoming album. Love how it's so close to the original, but there's some twangy elements thrown in there too. Listen

Ashton Shepherd - "Takin' Off This Pain"
Wow. Ashton's voice is so country sounding it's refreshing! The song is upbeat and sounds like it could be a radio winner, that is if radio will give her a chance. Check out her Myspace profile and listen to hear more from this talented lady. Listen

Laura Bryna - "Make A Wish"
Sad song, which is all too real. There are children out there who are sick with all sorts of diseases and for one moment in time they have their wish granted and they can feel like they are on top of the world. Laura's voice is beautiful and I will anxiously await more songs from her. Listen
