Rodney Atkins - "Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)"
I just love Rodney Atkins' songs because he's not afraid to be the country boy he's always been. In this song, a Daddy talks to his daughter's date (while cleaning his gun) and says he better treat her with the respect she deserves. He's giving a young man the same kind of talk he heard when he was younger. I have to say this is one of my favorites Rodney's released so far. It has a bit of a dark sound to it. Listen

Collin Raye - "Quitters"
It's good to hear Collin Raye release a new single. He's no stranger to songs with messages, so "Quitters" having powerful lyrics didn't surprise me. Collin's voice is as good as ever as he sings about never giving up despite whatever obstacles you may have in your life. Very uplifting. Listen
