Kenny Chesney - "Better As a Memory"
This song has actually been on the charts for a few weeks now, but this was the original add date. I love when Kenny sings songs like this rather than the island-type of songs we're so often used to hearing from him. This, like "Don't Blink" before it will be another No. 1 for Kenny. Great stuff. Heidi Newfield - "Johnny & June"
The former lead singer of Trick Pony is solo now, and she uses her pipes to perfection in this tribute to two of country music's favorite people, Johnny and June Carter Cash. I love the Cash song titles interspersed in the lyrics too. Pretty nifty. Listen

Jamey Johnson - "In Color"
You may remember Jamey a while back with his single, "The Dollar." Or, if you watched the CMA Awards in 2007, you may remember Jamey Johnson as the guy that upon winning the CMA Song of the Year for George Strait's "Give It Away" remarked that he owed it all to his ex-wife. One thing you can't mistake is the pure country sound of his voice, or the interesting story this lyric tells. The grandfather is showing his old black and white snapshots from his youth to his grandson, and he tells him that "you should have seen it in color." Jamey is on Mercury Nashville now, with a new album due out later this year. Listen

Jimmy Wayne - "Do You Believe Me Now"
He tells her that she'll stray, and he's right. Wow, this really has a great country pop sound, similar to something Rascal Flatts would sing. I think it can do well on country radio. Listen
