Read Jenn's thoughts on the new country music singles that are released for the week of November 10, 2008.

Keith Urban - "Sweet Thing"

This is such a fun song to listen to and I couldn't help but have a smile on my face from the very first note. Then again, Keith Urban's music seems to have that kind of effect on me. No matter what age you are while listening to "Sweet Thing," it makes you at least feel young at heart. I know with this song, it makes me believe that Keith is at a wonderful stage in his life - with wife Nicole and their daughter. If there ever was a time for me to be anxious about Keith's new material, it's now. Let the countdown begin.

Toby Keith - "God Love Her"

Toby Keith - 'That Don't Make Me The Bad Guy'Showdog Nashville
This song is the classic case of the preacher's daughter having a bit of a wild side and a thing for running off with the bad boys. Doesn't necessarily make her a bad person, she just has a mind of her own and a different way of living her life. I'm sure everyone will be hearing "God Love Her" in regular rotation very soon, if not right this minute. Listen

Jason Michael Carroll - "Where I'm From"

What's interesting about this single, it's not instantly known what kind of turn the lyrics will take. You really have to get into it before realizing how in-depth the storyline is. This is the kind of song that will make you stop and think about the important things in your life. Listen

Jessica Andrews - "Everything"

It's been a while since the talented Jessica Andrews had a new single out to radio. Now she's dipping her toes back into the water under the Carolwood Records imprint. Her voice is still sounding as good as ever, perhaps even better if that's possible. Instantly what I noticed about the new song is that there's more maturity in her voice than was found in previous material.

Carolina Rain - "Weight Of The World"

One of Carolina Rain's greatest assets are their harmonies. You get that right along with a nice message in "Weight Of The World." Life might be crazy but in this song you can at least count on the man who promises to take all of your worries and ease your mind. You can't ask for much more than that.
