Reba McEntire
Fans screamed and cheered as the spotlight shined on Reba's dramatic entrance of her rising up out of the top level stage floor towering above her band, and started descending the center stage staircase singing "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." Reba greeted everyone, and thanked them for coming to Country Thunder before singing "Whoever's In New England" and "Line Up Tonight," which was from the movie Tremors.
Next, Reba sang "You Lie" and "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia." By this point in her show it had started raining heavily, with bolts of lightning quickly approaching the concert area. As Reba returned to the upper middle level of her staircase, she told everyone something like "Give yourself a round of applause, you're all such troopers. You're just wonderful staying in the rain. But I'm going to stay up here if you don't mind because it's slippery down there, and I don't want to fall on my backside." Everyone cheered and applauded, and Reba began to sing a medley of hits that included "I'm Gonna Take That Mountain," "Little Rock" and "Rumor Has It."
After singing "Can't Even Get The Blues," Reba announced it was her first #1 hit recorded in 1982. She also shared that not too long ago they released her album called #1's that included her #1 songs to that point, and now she was going to sing her #33 - #1 hit "Somebody." The crowd cheered and applauded their congratulations to Reba.
In spite of the heavy down pour of rain, Reba fans remained on their feet for the entire performance singing along, clapping and cheering. It was a credit to Reba that she continued her full show regardless of the terrible weather conditions showing the audience her true and genuine dedication and appreciate of her fans.
Then, Reba did "Take It Back," "Why Haven't I Heard From You," and "Because Of You." Reba dedicated this duet single released with Kelly Clarkson to the fans, stating something along the lines "I've been so blessed and have had such an amazing career all because of you, the fans," which caused her to tear up with emotion and appreciation, as the crowd roared and whistled cheers of their gratitude.
Next, Reba sang "I'm a Survivor" the theme song from her hit TV show Reba. She said something like she loves her TV family. They're a great group of people, and she's been so blessed to work with them. Afterwards, she sang "Is There Life Out There," and she excited the stage.
Fans screamed, cheered and banged their hands on the catwalk. Moments later Reba re-appeared on her center stage stairs in her glittery red dress singing "Fancy" as an encore. The audience went wild pushing closer to the catwalk, as Reba walked to the lower level of the stage, not caring how slick the stage was at this point. The audience didn't even seem to notice the terrible weather conditions as they sang along and swayed to Reba's beautiful voice.
There are several wonderful female artists in the Country Music industry but Reba McEntire is the reigning Queen of Country Music.
