Bottom Line:

If you want to see just how entertaining a Dierks Bentley concert can be, then you need to buy this DVD. It's jam-packed and full of entertainment from start to finish.

The Set List for this Dierks Bentley concert is as close as you can get to perfect. I love how the concert starts off with some faster tempos to get you moving around, then they move to the slower side of things before getting the audience pumped up again.

One of the best songs to get the crowd going is "Lot of Leavin' Left To Do," followed closely by "Cab Of My Truck." You can tell the crowd really loves singing along to "How Am I Doin'." Dierks interacts with the audience by saying that now is the time to really let out what you think about ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends, to which the audience yells even louder. With a toast to the audience, it's then time for "Domestic, Light And Cold."

Then things take a little bit of a slower turn. During "Forget About You," the picture is in black and white, with the only color being that of the dobro being played. I like the artistic effect. Dierks then mentions that during this concert there will be new material played, because when it was recorded he had not released the Long Trip Alone album. One of those newer songs was "Free And Easy (Down The Road I Go)." Dierks said he always loved "Wish It Would Break," even though it was never a single.

My favorite part of the concert was Dierks performing "Good Man Like Me," complete with bluegrass instruments in the background. The tinge of Bluegrass continued on a faster-than-usual version of "My Last Name." Dierks Bentley should release a Bluegrass album sometime because I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Rocking out on "So So Long" is what Dierks did before going for the romantic side on "Come A Little Closer." The lights were dimmed and the light sticks (and cell phones) were held high in the air. You could almost feel the ladies in the audience swoon throughout the whole performance. Immediately after finishing that song, Dierks broke into the fan favorite song "What Was I Thinkin'."

The encores were great too, and they included Dierks singing "Ain't Livin' Long Like This," "Where The Wind Don't Blow," and "Folsom Prison Blues." My favorite of course was Dierks singing "Folsom."

Also included on Live & Loud At The Fillmore are behind-the-scenes footage of Dierks on tour, the "Every Mile A Memory" video, and a live photo slideshow.
