This movie trio is an excellent addition to any collection of great action movies. With an all star cast and great background music, you can't go wrong. Kenny Rogers left no doubt that he was as comfortable in an acting role as he is onstage singing.

Guide Review - Kenny Rogers – Legend of the Gambler
"The Gambler" is probably one of the best known songs that Kenny Rogers released. It is still receiving airplay today. From that hit song, Kenny starred in a made for TV movie based on the song. That movie was received so well that they made two more movies from it. They have released the trio in one package deal so you can enjoy all three movies with no interruptions. Kenny Rogers stars as Brady Hawkes, a poker player without equal in the late 1800's. Bruce Boxleitner co-stars as his sidekick Billy Montana. The first movie, "The Gambler," starts with Hawks rescuing Billy from a group of rough players he'd been trying to win easy money from. That was the first of many adventures that they had through the three movies.There is an all star supporting cast and well written story lines. The second movie, "The Adventure Continues," is a continuation of the first adventure and has them on a rescue mission for Hawkes' kidnapped son that he had just found out he had. The last movie, "The Legend Continues," is a stand alone with just Hawkes & Billy from the original cast members. They are on a mission to stop a war between settlers and Indians which is being fueled by a greedy senator and corrupt soldiers. They throw in a little action in the form of Buffalo Bill Cody and his Wild West Show. If you like action flicks with a good story line, I would definitely recommend these movies. They are good, clean fun that the whole family can enjoy.
