Wednesday, June 8 at 7:00 PM at the Wildhorse was the time and place for this incredible combined party whose highlight was an auction to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.
Party favors distributed while fans waited in line and were laminates with Andy on one side and Tracy on the other side.
The evening began with a huge supper bar-b-que, complete with beans and cole slaw. After everyone had dined, and socialized, Andy and Tracy took the stage for an acoustic set which saw them alternate singing, each singing their own hits, and each singing each others hits...with a lot of humor thrown in.
After the musical entertainment the auction began. Andy and Tracy each brought five personal items which they auctioned from the stage, and to say they were hilarious would be a huge understatement. The most laughter came when they auctioned off Tracy's loufah which was still wet from the shower. At Andy's request, Tracy gave a demonstration of how he used it, with Andy's help, and in the end the loufah fetched $750.00. Some of the other items auctioned were Trracy's pillow from his bus which went for $1,000.00, Andy's shirt from the City of Hope Softball game which also went for $1,000.00, Andy's necklace that he wore on the cover of his This I Gotta See album which sold for $1750.00, and the shirt he wore in his "If Heaven" video which fetched an amazing $2,300.00. The final item was a guitar strap that Tracy gave Andy a few years ago...they both autographed it and the price for that was $1,200.00. This was a very lively auction that raised over $8,000.00 for the Children's Miracle Network.
After the auction fans of both artists attended their meet and greets, where there was a professional photographer taking pictures of each fan and artist. Each fan had some time to visit with the artists who both stayed until the last fan had come through the line, which was in the area of 2:00 AM!!!!
A very successful, fun evening with serious overtones...the large amount of money raised for the Children's Miracle Network!!
