The next auction was the funniest one all night. Richie was selling his scooter. This is the motorized kind that you stand on and it goes along. He kept trying to start it, pulling the starting chain. It starts sort of like a lawn mower, and it just wasn't starting. Dean kept teasing saying, "Yep, it starts, it really does start."
Finally Richie got it started and he actually rode it around the room one time. Dean cracked, "I hope you're done eating, 'cause carbon monoxide is *everywhere*!" Then, he said "Wow, that really stinks. But it won't stink for *YOU*." It sold for $425.00. Oh, and they said they'd ship it to the person, since it's unlikely someone is going to carry that on as luggage.
Mike was holding his son, Ethan and held him up pretending that he was going to auction him off. After putting him down, he picked up a shirt with the title of the AC/DC album, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." The shirt went for $300.00.
Next, we got to hear three tracks from their upcoming album, Coming Home, due out on September 13th. The guys took a break for a bit while the tracks played and people socialized.
Time for the concert segment. They started with "Walking in Memphis," then sang "Front Porch Looking In," and "With Me." Next, they did a medley of their No. 1 songs, "Smile," "Tell Her," and "Not a Day Goes By."
Other songs included "Class Reunion," "Wildfire," "Mr. Mom," "Women Rule the World," "I'm Already There," "What About Now," their new single, "You're Like Coming Home," and they ended of course with "Amazed."
One other cool part of the show was when Richie asked his son, Rhett to play the piano. I'm not sure what he played. It kind of sounded like Blake Shelton's "When Somebody Knows You That Well." He plays pretty darn good.
After this each table had a set list of the order of which Lonestar member we'd go to for our meet and greets. I didn't stay for the meet and greet as I was meeting Jan, our Nashville Guide at About for lunch, so I don't know what happened after the meet and greet.
Oh, and we also all received a light up necklace that glowed red when you put it around your neck. It said Lonestar Fan Club Member. Very cool.
