Trace Adkins' Fan Club Party was held at The Trap on June 9th. It was an early morning bash so a lovely buffet breakfast was served while the Chasers were waiting for the BIG MAN to arrive.
The air was sizzling with excitement and when Trace and family entered the room it was to a standing ovation.
Trace alternated between singing and taking questions from his fans. One question that led to Trace singing an exceptionally forceful and soul touching song, was----"How did you like playing at the Capitol? " Trace answered, "What Capitol?----Oh yes DC, Memorial Day." He then talked about his song "Arlington" and that the release date was set for 6/27 but the radio stations had started playing it early. As of June 9th, Arlington was #32 on the charts. Trace sang the song and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. What a powerful song and tribute to our fallen men and women in the armed forces. Trace went on to say that this is a respectful song and that it should be treated with just that---extreme respect.
Prizes were awarded to those holding the highest number of Waffle House receipts were awarded prizes/gift bags. The winner of the juke box had 92. Do not have the names of the folks who won...but there were 3 lucky folks that received the gift bags..
At the end of this fun party, each person attending received a keepsake mouse pad with Trace picture on it. Those lucky fans that held a photo op ticket were called by groups to have their picture taken with him. He also signed their keepsake mouse pads.
This fan club party was a memory maker for those fans who could attend.
