Tracy Byrd's party was held at the Wildhorse Saloon on June 8, 2005. It was combined with Andy Griggs' Fan Club Party, and scheduled to start at 6:00 pm.
The fans were lined up from the Wildhorse down the street and around the corner on Broadway to the Hard Rock Cafe.
The doors opened around 6:20 pm. We were assigned seats. Tracy's fans were on one side, and Andy's on the other.
Everyone lined up for the food, which was chicken, bbq beef, baked beans, and cole slaw. Ice tea was on the tables for all.
Tracy and Andy's concert was at 7:00 pm, so that line was up the hill, and they entered and sat up in the balcony.
Two names were drawn for them to sit on the stage with a friend. Collette was from Michigan and Lori from Virginia.
John Anthony from XM Satellite Radio announced that the party was being broadcast on live radio, and online.
Tracy and Andy came on stage and the crowd went wild. They sat in stools and sang.
Song List:
- "Lot Like Dixie"
- I'm From the Country
- Keeper of the Stars
- Drinkin' Bone
- Don't Take Her She's All I've Got
Then, they came back and sang "Hillbilly Band," and "Watermelon Crawl."
There was an auction to raise money for the Childrens Miracle Network, which is Tracy's charity. Some of the items auctioned off were Andy and Tracy's pillow, shirts, PJ's, etc. Tracy sold a loufah he used in the shower for $750.00 alone. I believe they made a little of $8,000.
After the auction a Meet and Greet was held with the fans. It was a blast.
