Trisha's party was held at Rocketown on Saturday, June 10, 2006. While the same venue as Josh Turner's party, it was a different room, and much larger, thank goodness, than the one Josh had for his party.

As we went down the stairs to the large room which was set with 10-person round tables, and a large stage in front, we found a table with some empty spots about 3 rows back from the stage in the center. Perfect for photos.

Being a party in the morning, Trisha had continental breakfast of muffins, juices, fruit, and bottled water. Dianne and I had eaten the free buffet breakfast at our hotel, so we just grabbed water and waited for the performance part of the party to begin.

The party started at 9:00, but I don't believe they actually started letting people in until about 9:10. By 10:05, we saw a side door open and Elvis came in the room and climbed the stairs to the stage looking for Trisha with a balloon bouquet. After leaving his gift from some fans for Trisha, he left the room, and Trisha took the stage.

Trisha looked radiant. Marriage to Garth truly agrees with her. She was dressed in a chocolate brown spandex tank top with sparkly bufferfly-shape around the neckline, and jeans. I didn't look at her shoes, but they must have had some major heels as when I took my picture with her she towered over me, and we're the same height bare-footed.

Trisha performed and answered questions that were printed on cards by the fans as we entered the building. She started with "She's In Love With The Boy," then answered some of the questions.

Question: Have you ever worked with Dolly Parton?
Trisha: No, but my husband would like me to.
Question: What's your favorite candy bar?
Trisha: Don't have time for that. No... my favorite candy bar is Large McDonalds' French Fries.
Question: Are you now, or have you ever been in anyone's Fan Club?
Trisha: I'm in Prince's fan club. Never was in Elvis' fan club, but I did write him once and ask for his autograph, and also asked him to marry me. I'm still waiting... Too late for him now, huh?
Question: Did you ever take voice lessons?
Trisha: No. When I was in New York at the Today show, I was able to see the Broadway play Wicked. I even got to fill in for the good witch one time. Backstage, they were all warming up, and I never liked doing that, cuz it made you sound goofy, and I didn't want to sound dorky in the bathroom before a show. They tell you not to eat pizza, cheese and milk, but I don't listen to that either. I wolfed down a whole pizza before I came out here. Just kidding. Back in high school, I would listen to the songs on the radio, and I would mimic them.
Question: Is there anything different performing outdoor shows to indoor shows?
Trisha: Yes. Bugs. I was performing once and was in the middle of "The Song Remembers When" when I swallowed my first bug. My songs are very challenging, and you can't just go "The song remembers..hack, cough." So, I learned to be graceful, and think, "protein snack." We did a show out in California in Paso Robles where they are known for these big flying grasshoppers. They were flying around, and I was wearing a skirt, and they were all over my skirt. I'm usually a live and let live person, but that was just wrong. They probably have some law out there protecting them, but I was stomping them all over the stage.
Question: What do you think of American Idol and Nashville Star? Would you be as mean as Simon or as sweet as Paula?
Trisha: I would like to say what Simon says, but then I wouldn't. I don't like making people feel bad, and a lot of tv is about that these days. I think people on reality shows have a hard time. Back when I first released "She's in Love with the Boy" I had the chance to make my mistakes and learn. These people don't have that option. Back home, we do have extreme sports in the pool, and I'm Simon in the pool. I judge the girls on their form and content and by what they said they would do, and I'm pretty harsh.
Question: If someone were to walk in your house. What would let them know you were country, besides Garth?
Trisha: A Winchester rifle hanging over the door.
