Fun Fact:

The band entered a Battle of the Bands competition in Huntsville, AL, and had to come up with a name, so Runaway was the name they chose. They came in second place in the competition, and about a month later, they changed their name to Heartland, and they have been together ever since.

Musical Influences:

Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, Van Halen, Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, AC/DC, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.
