Seeing the latest videos
There are two major cable networks that specialize in Country Music. The largest being CMT (Country Music Television), and the second being GAC(Great American Country).
CMT is owned by Viacom, (other music channels owned by Viacom include VH1 and MTV). Along with general country videos, CMT has various other music-related shows. A list of several of them is below:
- CMT Crossroads - a monthly series that pairs country artists with artists of other genres of music.
- CMT Cross Country - a series where two country artists share their music and discover the country roots they have in common.
- CMT Inside Fame - Profiles country artists with in-depth interviews.
GAC isn't quite as big as CMT, but they have several really good reasons to watch. Besides general country videos, you can find other music-related shows. A list of several of them is below:
- Country Music Across America - This new show is a weekly 30-minute News show that looks at all the latest news in country music.
- Offstage with Lorianne Crook - Country music insider Lorianne Crook goes offstage and gets personal with some of country's hottest stars in exclusive one-on-one interviews featured only on GAC.
- Grand Ole Opry Live - GAC is the home of the Grand Ole Opry. The Saturday night show is broadcast at 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm with encore performances on Sunday and Tuesday.
