From , former About.com Guide

These are the 10 hottest Country songs of the week as determined by your AboutCountry Guide. This chart is compiled consulting data from various music industry charts and sources. It is intended to indicate the hottest rising Country Music hits. Recordings that have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart are disqualified from this chart.

NOTE: I'm going to be adding the Hot Country Song Chart Position from the previous week, when applicable. I'll use the abbreviation HC Songs when referring to the chart position on our Hot Country Song Chart. Any other song chart info that I mention will be based on the songs position this week on Billboard's chart.

  2. Brad Paisley - "Ticks"
I just wrote about this song on the "Singles of the Week" article, and it's already impacting in a big way. Obviously, it was added way before the actual add date. Brad has the top debuting song, starting out at No. 50 this week. From his upcoming studio album, due out later this year.
  3. Toby Keith - "High Maintenance Woman"
Toby drops from No. 1 to No. 3 this week on the Hot Country Songs chart. On Billboard's charts, however, he moves up two spots to No. 12, on the verge of leaving this list.

  7. Emerson Drive - "Moments"
This is the first song I look for when I get my charts each week. While not on last weeks chart, this song has been on previous Hot Country Songs charts in previous weeks. The song moves up one this week to No. 23 on Billboard's Country Songs chart. From the band's Countrified CD.

  8. George Strait - "Wrapped"
The King is back with another sure fire winner. The third single from It Just Comes Natural, will it follow the path of the first two songs and go straight to No. 1? I think there's a very good chance. This is pure George. It hasn't charted yet, but I'm sure it will next week.

  9. Alan Jackson - "A Woman's Love"
Alan Jackson isn't on the Hot Country Songs chart from last week, but has been on previous week's charts. His song moves up two spots to No. 18 this week on Billboard's charts.

  10. Blake Shelton - "Don't Make Me"
Blake drops one spot this week to the bottom of the chart, but his song moves up four spots on Billboard's charts, to No. 21 this week. This is the debut single from his upcoming May 1st release, Pure BS.
