Laurie: I heard it tonight for the first time and I couldn't even swallow, I had a lump in my throat, it is fabulous.
Rockie: It might be the song that really kicks us into another gear. You know, what's really great is we are able to do a album, and then another album and it's all stuff that I've written, it's all real and I stand totally behind every thing we done. The main thing we are going to do is; we are going to do our best. Every where we go, if there are 10 people or 10,000 people, or on Good Morning America. We will give it our full 100 percent every time.
Laurie: Is there anything you'd like to tell us that we haven't covered yet?
Rockie: Did I mention that I was funny?
Laurie: Yep, a little bit.
Rockie: Well I want to make sure I got that out, because I am funny. I was accused of not being funny and that I didn't have a sense of humor, and I was too serious. I'm kidding! It's a joke.
Laurie: What does it mean to you when your fans tell you how much your music means to them in their life?
Rockie: I'm always surprised that anybody would get my songs, because they are really personal. I just write it for me. I write songs about me. "More" floors me at the number of people that come up and go "my God, we've been saying that forever." I just wrote if for me, my mother had just passed away and I couldn't take it, do you know what I mean. I couldn't stand not being able to stop and pick up the phone and call my mom. I'd been doing that everyday my whole adult life
Laurie: ...and then to not be able to hear "I love you more" must have been hard.
Rockie: Right. So for me, I wrote if for me but to find out that there are a bunch of people that feel the same way floors me. I guess that is proof that we are all the same. We are all kind of the same people and that somehow or another it all relates.
Laurie: What would you like to say to your fans?
Rockie: Would just say to them that we are in this thing together, and we always have been. From the first day that I walked around in Clarksville and said hello to people, some of those people are still in our fan club and I still know them. These guys that you'll see tonight are people that have been coming to watch me for 10 years. People are coming from Iowa, coming from California to here, at Renegades Outlaw Bar and Grill because this is where it is. So we are in it together. We are not in it to be other than the very best we can. We are not trying to be Alan Jackson; it would be nice if we were. But what we are trying to be is real, because a long time ago as a kid listening to music it was real to me and it still is. I play music because I love music, period. Thank you!
