HostUrbangirl: First of all I wanted to thank you guys for agreeing to interview with me for about.com
Hot Apple Pie: Well cool!
HostUrbangirl: Your first album is out, the self titled, Hot Apple Pie.
Hot Apple Pie: Yes!
HostUrbangirl: The first single was "Hillbillies," it was an incredible song and did really well. Your next release is "We're Makin Up," that's the current one?
Brady: Yeah that was the last one. The new one that's getting ready to come out February 27th is "Easy Does It." It's a ballad, written by my cousin and a guy named Andrew Dorf(SP). It was one of the first four songs that we went in to cut as a band and got us the deal basically, so we're very, very excited to get it out.
HostUrbangirl: Well we're looking forward to it! You haven't shot a video for it yet then?
Hot Apple Pie: No.
HostUrbangirl: What song on the CD is your guys' favorite, or do you have one?
Hot Apple Pie: Well I think each one of us has got their own favorites.
Trey: I'd say it's probably "California King."
Keith: "Why Can't I Get To You?"
Brady: Mine would be "California King."
Sparky: I'd probably say, "Makin Up" which was our last song.
HostUrbangirl: That's a great song. I really liked that. The "Hillbillies" song too, I really liked that one.
Brady: Yeah!
HostUrbangirl: The video was so fun and I remember the first morning watching CMT and I saw it and it just grabs your attention.
Brady: Yeah!
HostUrbangirl: Did it take a long time, there was just so much involved in the video. Did it take a while?
Brady: You know it didn't take us very long. I mean it's a days shoot pretty much you know, but uh, it was Phillip Andleman (sp) who directed it. He had directed several of Lenny Kravitz's video's. We wanted someone that kinda would step out there and do something a little bit different than the average country video you know, and uh, boy he did. He really uh, kinda changed the perspective of the term hillbillies. You know what I'm sayin? I mean it was all blinged out and the whole bit and it just really, really, you know kinda captured the personalities of the band and that's exactly what we wanted to happen and he did it.
