HostUrbangirl: You've written with so many great songwriters. Was there any certain one that you just really clicked with good?
Brady: Well, I really click with my cousin um, TJ. Or his other alias name, Kizzy Plush, which we won't go into that.
HostUrbangirl: (Laughing) Okay!
Brady: But, I really click with TJ cause you know, we're kinda the same generation. Grew up on the same kinda music. You know we click well together. Now as far as like you know, some of the older writers, that I've written with like Rodney Crowell or Troy, um, I mean we click, well you know, as well but, um, their so busy we can't hardly get our schedules lined up you know, so it's usually Kizzy and I workin.
HostUrbangirl: What inspires you to write? Do you guys ever get together as a band and write?
Brady: Well you know we've promised each other that we were gonna do that and this last time around we we've been rehearsing for the New Faces Show for the CRS thing you know and we're trying to keep our focus on that you know and then once that's out of the way,
HostUrbangirl: Something else will come around!
Brady: Well probably so but we keep on promising ourselves that we're going to get into a room and just play and just come up with some grooves, come up you know, if I've got a title or Sparks got a title or whaterver, we're just gonna like start writing and just see what happens you know and soon as we get some time we're gonna do that for sure.
Keith: Time is of the, our time is pretty spent.
Hot Apple Pie: Yes it is!
HostUrbangirl: So what are you guys working on right now then?
Brady: Well we're working on some new changes for the set list for this year. Some new cover tunes, um working on several new songs for the new record. It's kinda weird to put our hearts into a new record when we're so excited about this new single to tell ya the truth you know. It doesn't really feel like it's over and we don't want to jinx it you know what I mean? So we're just kinda like waiting around you know but I think the time will come when we kick into that second record but it really hasn't been just yet.
HostUrbangirl: You wanna experience this one first.
Brady: Yeah, yeah. Take it all in.
HostUrbangirl: Who are you going on tour with next?
Sparky: Well we're probably gonna be doing about 120 dates this year so we're really ready to gear up quick. The initial thing we got comin up is we've got a Kenny Chesney cruise and that should be a lot of fun. Little Big Town, Big Kenny will be there and so we'll be doing that and of course we'll just be all over the country. I know we have some Keith Urban dates coming up.
HostUrbangirl: Do you really?
Sparky: Yeah! So basically right now you know their booking for the year. They've told us, get ready. As bad as it was last year, it's gonna get worse.
HostUrbangirl: Well what would you guys like to say to the fans that are gonna be listening to this?
Hot Apple Pie: God, Thank You!! Yes! Thank You!! We'd like to see ya again this year! Yeah, definitely! We got the news that "Hillbillies" was the third biggest dance song so all the people out there who voted for that, thank you so much and you know hopefully we keep you dancin! Now this next one your gonna have to kinda shine your belt buckles to instead of getting out there and doing the two-step or as Trey would say, "wiggle out there." You know, it'll be more up close with one another but in the future we will certainly keep on making you wiggle!
