AboutCountry: Do you see each other when you are off the road, or do you get enough together time while touring?

Kimberly Roads: The four of us are not just co-workers; we are very close friends - family, really. When we are off the road for a few days, if we don't see each other, we definitely talk several times a day. There are usually business decisions for the four of us to make, and Karen and I are often on the phone running everyday "girl stuff" by each other.

AboutCountry: Are you recording your follow-up album to The Road to Here yet?

Kimberly Roads: We are just beginning to write for the new CD, which will be out sometime late next year. We are so excited about this new record. We'll probably start recording it with our producer, Wayne Kirkpatrick, after the first of the year. We like to record songs as we write them, so we won't wait 'til we're completely done writing the CD before we start recording. We like to see where we are along the way.

AboutCountry: I know "Good as Gone" is still moving up the charts, but are there plans for a fourth single from the album?

Jimi Westbrook: I can't say for sure, but I do think there is a chance. We feel like there are several more songs that have single potential, but that whole decision will have to be made down the road.

AboutCountry: Do you have a favorite place to write?

Phillip Sweet: I really enjoy writing at Wayne's studio. There is a lot of creative energy there, and it is sort of tucked away in the country. Anywhere I can sit in nature is where I like to write; it helps me to be creative.

AboutCountry: What is your guilty pleasure? (or do you have one?)

Jimi Westbrook: I sometimes get hooked on reality TV shows. My extreme guilt won't let me say which ones.

AboutCountry: Which song do you wish you had written?

Jimi Westbrook: I have always wished I had written the song "I Can't Make You Love Me." That is a song so full of raw emotion that you know the writer must have really felt that pain at some point in their life. Bonnie Raitt's delivery is amazing as well.

AboutCountry: What do you think of some people's comparisons of you to Fleetwood Mac?

Phillip Sweet: I'm very flattered and honored by that. They were definitely influential to our harmonies with the male/female vocalists and innovative musicianship. It is nice to be compared to such a powerful and successful band. We recently worked with Lindsey Buckingham on CMT Crossroads, and performed some of the very songs that influenced us. It was an unbelievable thrill, like an out of body experience.

AboutCountry: How has the marriage of Jimi and Karen helped or changed the group dynamics?

Kimberly Roads: Jimi and Karen make a wonderful couple. Phillip and I are completely supportive of their marriage. It hasn't changed the way we run our business at all. They are excellent business people independent of each other. The one thing that has changed is that now Phillip and I each get our own hotel rooms! He used to share with Jimi, and I shared with Karen, so that's a nice new perk!

AboutCountry: How satisfying is the acceptance at country radio (as your organic selves) after your last label basically tried to make you the country version of S Club 7?

Phillip Sweet: It is very satisfying, especially because what we put on our record was our true heart and soul. We feel like we can be ourselves, which is a very empowering position to be in for creativity and making your best music.
