UrbanGirlHost: I want to thank you on behalf of about.com for agreeing to this interview.
Two-Foot Fred: Well, thank you!
UrbanGirlHost: I got to read your bio and I noticed that you wear a lot of different hats.
Two-Foot Fred: Yes I do!
UrbanGirlHost: Physically and with everything you're involved in. You tour with Music Mafia.
Two-Foot Fred: Yep
UrbanGirlHost: You do stand up comedy. Along with your brother, you own a lot of businesses including a real estate development company, residential rentals, a spice company and a pub called the Funky Monkey.
Two-Foot Fred: Yes Ma'am.
UrbanGirlHost: I gotta go there sometime! How do you keep that kinda pace?
Two-Foot Fred: I'll tell ya, it's very challenging at times. You know, but if you kinda break everything down, my brother, the bar, and I've never, ever wanted to use these words but my bar pretty much seems to run it's self. And I'm always a hands on owner, but my brothers in town, in Seymour, where these are located. the bar and the real estate business. So he keeps an eye on everything and with technology these days, email, you know, cell phones, you can stay pretty connected. I mean it's not like your there, I'm sure there's things going on that I don't know about but all in all it's doing well and um, you know it's, it's allowed me to be out here or down here in Nashville. The rental business it's not like a hands on, day to day operating type business. So it just works out and the spice company, it's solely mine the Phat Freddie Seasonings and I run that out of my apartment here in Nashville. But it's not at the point, I'm just now working on pursuing major distribution at Walmart's and Target's. Until I get that, it's not too bad. So it, you break everything down kind of, and look at how it will be eventually.
UrbanGirlHost: How do we get your Spices?
Two-Foot Fred: Two Foot Fred.com right now. Yeah, their on there and hopefully they'll be coming to a Walmart near you!
UrbanGirlHost: So everything you do basically is out of Seymour except for the spice company and you run that out of here?
Two-Foot Fred: And the entertainment stuff obviously. Which I've got more and more projects with that that I'm working on.
UrbanGirlHost: Okay, with all the things your involved in, which is your favorite? Two-Foot Fred: Yeah uh, really I don't have a favorite because if I did then I would only be doing that. 'Cause I believe that if we need to pursue our passions. If you don't, then your not ever gonna be happy. And so you need to really, we need to, I'm the kinda person who would stop doing that if it didn't fit the slot.
UrbanGirlHost: You just like staying busy is what I'm getting.
Two-Foot Fred: Pretty much! You know a lot of these things, some people would be, I kinda consider them almost like hobbies, some people would consider it work. Maybe not really the real estate but the spice company and I do some video production. I would like to get more involved with video production and so you know, that's kinda like my hobby but it's still work because I'm doing it for my entertainment reasons.
UrbanGirlHost: I saw you in Nashville during CMA Music Festival last year.
Two-Foot Fred: Yeah!
UrbanGirlHost: Out and about visiting with all the fans. Do you do that a lot?
Two-Foot Fred: I do! I think it's important cause when I was a fan myself, I still am a fan but when I was solely just a fan, I think I came like five or six, either five out of six or six out of seven fan fairs you know in that seven year time period. Maybe five out of seven it was something like that I missed one or two. But I know how much I enjoyed it from that side of things. So I really work hard to give it back now that I'm on the other side. I think it's important.
UrbanGirlHost: So you're attending this year then?
Two-Foot Fred: I am yeah. In fact, Big and Rich have a show out of town that weekend and they won't be around there but I'm not going to that show, I'll be in town that whole week just to really be involved.
UrbanGirlHost: Earlier I mentioned you doing stand up comedy. Your friends with Larry the Cable Guy and Cledus T. Judd, and you have plans to do a comedy album?
Two-Foot Fred: I do! That kinda of, has uh, that's still there, but you know as things progress, that may be one of those things that kinda get put on the back burner just because I really, things are kind of. I've got an acting coach, I've wanted to pursue acting and do some tv work and so um, you know I just, that fits in there somewhere.
UrbanGirlHost: Somewhere?
Two-Foot Fred: Yeah!
UrbanGirlHost: Well we'll be looking for it. I adore your motto, "Size is merely a perception."
Two-Foot Fred: Thank You!
