I think he really looked comfortable on stage, plus he does really pick. Still think he looks like Brent from last year's show.
Bret - I'll say this. It was awesome to see someone get up there and play that guitar. The world needs some serious good players right now, and great music. You did an awesome job.
Anastasia - Josh, I agree about your ability to play the guitar. Next time I wanna see you connect with the audience a little bit more.
Phil -I wanna see you jam. I can't wait man. I'm looking forward to seeing ya. I'm ready to see ya rock. I wanna see you do it.
Christy McDonald was next to perform, and she sang "Long Black Train"
Christy really loves to perform. You can tell. She's very energetic, and really got into her song.
Anastasia - You're so adorable. Chris, Oh my God, you're so adorable. I love how you just..
Christy - You're beautiful.
Anastasia - But let's get back to you. I love how you fall face first into the music, and you lost yourself in it. And that's what I'm looking for.
Christy - Well, when I'm up here I just feel like um, I just let it all out. You know, like I figure that God gives you a little something, and you gotta share it, and that's how it feels.
Phil -You gotta loosen up. (he says this jokingly) You gotta loosen up. I don't know about you.
Christy - (with her hand on her hip, looking sassy) What ya got to say Bret Michaels?
Bret - I'll tell ya what I gotta say. You make me wanna party. You make me wanna have a good time. I'm ready to throw down.
We cut backstage to Cledus who tells us that the finalists are now staying at Opryland Hotel. (The first two seasons the contestants were put up in the Nashville Star house). He says how nice the hotel is and how it has the best mini bar west of the Ozarks. He asks one of the Erika Jo, "Are you enjoying the mini bar?" she says "I'm not old enough to drink." Cledus looks flabbergasted and says something about not being an expert on fancy hotels, but the Opryland Hotel is pretty darn nice.
Next up is Jason Meadows, who sings "Workin' Man Blues"
Jason has a lot of charisma. I gotta say so far, he's my favorite of all the finalists. Great voice, and he just really works the stage.
Phil -A little Haggard ain't gonna hurt nobody tonight, is it. A little Okie. I like that. You did a great job. good performance, and you felt like you were just getting into it.
Anastasia - Jason I love your voice. Ohh man I love your voice. And since I'm a girl's girl, I'm not going to ask you to soften your jeans, just your delivery.
Bret - I'm not gonna touch that one. I'm gonna say this. First of all, I'm gonna say this. I'll get right to it. These are the things that matter. You got a great voice, but what you got, you got a great attitude, and you gotta have.. I go back to this again and again. It's about the "it" factor. You got it. You got it.
