Anastasia: "Ok, listen. This is what I've got to say. (holds up card with the number 10 on it)."
Anastasia: "You've realized the importance of song selection throughout this season. And you've realized the importance of image. Not that it's more important than song selection, or a beautiful voice. But, and not in an Anna Nicole Smith sort of way, but image is important to keep on focusing on."
Phil: "You just listen to your mom and dad, 'cause they're gonna give you the best advice you can get. And you're gonna get managers. And anything your manager says, do exactly the opposite of what he says, and the record label.. just kidding. Just, take the advice and do what's best for you. You're gonna do great."
LeAnn: "Welcome back to the season finale of Nashville Star, where the moment that you've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Alright Jason, now when you auditioned for this show four months ago, did you ever think you'd be standing right here, right now, waiting to hear your name called to be the next Nashville Star?"
Jason: "You know. All's I can do is hope and pray. And I guess my praying paid off, 'cause here I am with this wonderful lady, who can sing her butt off. And, we both worked our tails off to get up here. And I'm just excited. This is it."
LeAnn: "Alright Erika Jo, how are you dealing with the fact, that in 30-seconds, your life can change forever?"
Erika Jo: "It's unbelievable. I'm just on the edge of my seat like everybody else. Let's just go."
LeAnn: "Alright, I wish you both the very best of luck, tonight, and in everything you guys do. Thousands of people auditioned. Ten were selected for this year's show, and inside this envelope is the name of the person America has chosen to be this season's Nashville Star. The winner of this year's Nashville Star.. is none other than.. the one.. and only... Erika Jo."
Erika Jo hugs Jason and balloons fall from the ceiling into the audience. She then hugs LeAnn.
LeAnn: "You just won this year's Nashville Star. How are you feeling right now?"
Erika Jo: "I don't have any words. I'm speechless right now. Oh my God."
LeAnn: "Alright now. What do you think your family's feeling like out there?"
Erika Jo: "They look like they're just like me, and they're gonna pass out."
LeAnn: "Did you ever in your wildest dreams think that this would happen to you?"
Erika Jo: "Honestly, no. I really didn't."
LeAnn: "I'm so excited for you. For both of you. Everybody that's been on the show. And you have to sing in a few moments, so go get ready. Give it up for Erika Jo, your new Nashville Star. Come here Jason. How are you feeling right now?"
Jason: "You know what, LeAnn? I'm so excited to be where I am right now. I'm a heck of a lot further in this business than where I was when I started this show. And I thank my family, and all my fans out there that backed me and voted for me. And God love you guys. Ya'll get ready, 'cause it took me ten years to build this train. But we got the door open right now and we're fixing to party."
LeAnn: "Out of the thousands and thousands of people that auditioned, you came in second place on the show. You have to be so proud of yourself. You know what, you should be ashamed of nothing."
Jason: I ain't ashamed of a darned thing. I'm excited. I love this business. This is my life. Thank you guys. Love you. I'll see you on the road."
LeAnn: "Big hand for Jason Meadows everybody. And now, performing "I Break Things," which will be released tomorrow morning, as the first single off her upcoming Universal South album. Make some noise for your new Nashville Star, Erika Jo."
Erika Jo sings "I Break Things."
My thoughts: What a great song, and performance. This should do well for her. The song really fits her lyrically too.
LeAnn: "You know what.. you have a recording contract with Universal South Records, a coveted spot on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and next Thursday, April 28th, you'll be singing on the Today Show, broadcasting live here in Nashville, Tennessee."
Erika Jo: "That is awesome."
LeAnn: "And we still have one more suprise for you. And here to tell you what it is, Big and Rich."
John Rich: "So, on behalf of Chevrolet, our favorite car maker in America.. we would like to present to you a brand new bad ass pickup."
Big Kenny: "Erika Jo, you just won yourself a really bad truck."
Erika Jo: "We were told that this was a give away for an audience voter."
Big Kenny: "It's a giveaway for you tonight, baby."
LeAnn: "Congratulations, Erika Jo, you kicked some butt."
And so ends another season with Nashville Star... the show closes with a final performance of "Sweet Home Alabama" by Erika Jo, Phil, Bret, and Big & Rich, and the other nine finalists.
