Time to view the screens again. And we are treated to Nicole's Nashville Star experience, including performances, judges comments, etc. Once again, she was introduced on the screen, then on the stage, and Nicole came on the stage. Nicole is a real beauty. She wore her hair in a pony tail, and had on a cute light blue top with navy short shorts.
Nicole started her show with "Thing Called Love." Next, she welcomed us to the show, and said that the only person she could see was the guy selling glow-in-the-dark necklaces. I can't remember if he tossed a couple up on the stage or if she happened to have some up there, but she put one on and said that it's not a fair unless you're wearing a glow-in-the-dark necklace, and now she felt like she belonged there.
Nicole started singing "Jackson" next, and I wondered if she was going to sing it alone, since it's a duet, or if someone was going to sing with her. My question was quickly as during a break in the song, Casey came on stage. Nicole asked him, "Casey, will you be my Johnny?" and she slipped a glow-in-the-dark necklace around his neck as he replied yes. They sounded great together, and had great fun singing this spirited song.
Nicole said she'd like to sing an original song next, and I believe the name is "Dead Man Walking." She said she had always loved the next song, which was written by John Prine. Bonnie Raitt recorded it, and Nicole does a great job with it as well.
My favorite Nicole song from the show was Lucinda Williams' "Can't Let Go," which she closed her show with.
