We're told that next week, Hank Williams Jr. will be the musical guest, singing his new single, "That's How They Do It In Dixie." The guest judges will be from Velvet Revolver, and other bands you may have heard of Scott Weiland and Duff McKagan. Huh? Where do they get these people?

The next performer of the evening is Casey Rivers.

In his pre-recorded clip, Casey talks with Wynonna.

"Wynonna: Ok, I might be jumping out there a little bit on this one, but, I think, sometimes in country music today... with all the videos, and with all the stuff, the big production... the voice does get lost. 'Cause I've noticed in the past, and I don't know if it felt awkward to you, but there were a couple of times when I wondered if you were trying to work that part of it, because, hey, I'm on a show, and I gotta be theatrical, or I've gotta do a move, here and there, because of the other contestants. I don't know if that's been a pressure for you. Casey: I've learned that my voice is my stronghold. And the competition just.. to sing "Your Cheatin' Heart," just me and the guitar on a stool. And that was a more of a showcase for my voice. And, that's been my best feedback of any part of the competition. Wynonna: So, what do you have for us this week? Casey: I'm doing a song that Conway Twitty did. "Goodbye Time." And Blake Shelton just came out with it again, and did a super job on it. Wynonna: That's awesome. And, I think that's what people want. I think they want that clarity, and want that voice to shine through."

Phil: Holy smokes. Look, I got chill bumps. Chill bumps! Man, you don't need to shake your badonkadonk. You just need to sit there, stand there, and sing, dude. You are special.
Anastasia: Oh, Casey, I know it's been a rollercoaster ride for you on the show. You've had some inconsistancies. But, tonight, you showed your true self. And you got two applauses, if you will notice. And, I compare you to Ronnie Dunn, and great singers like Ronnie Dunn, and Josh Turner and Joe Nichols. And, those true singers do not have to tap dance for dollars.
Patti: All I can say is you *got* me. I would have stood up, but I was stuck in the chair. I would have given you a standing ovation. You are a bad, bad boy. Keep on singing.

Wynonna: He's a good boy. Oh, I think... I got chicken skin too. I really love your song choice. I think it's the best that he's done so far. I really do.
Casey: Well, thank you.
Wynonna: So, next week... I know it's early. But, talk about next week's song. I think that next week's song is a real risk, but, talk about why you chose it. Tell 'em what you're gonna sing.
Casey: Well, you know, I have been risky through this competition. But next week, I'm gonna do a gospel song. I'm gonna do... Ya know, I think some of your greatest artists, like Brad Paisley, he ends each record with a gospel song. And, I've got one that I...
Wynonna: What's the song?
Casey: That's a surprise. I'll tell you Wy, and you can tell everybody else.
Wynonna: "How Great Thou Art."
Casey: "How Great Thou Art."
Wynonna: Tune in next week. I think Patti approves. Casey Rivers everybody.

My thoughts: Casey really stepped it up tonight. I really enjoyed Matt's performance, but Casey just stole the show. Great vocals and emotion. Awesome.

Time for the Tostitos moment. The finalists say how close they are, and then they push each other around, and throw pies at Jared when he's late for practice. Not as funny as some of the previous bits, but cute.
