Bio:
Melanie was raised in a musical family. At age 4, she began dancing ballet. When she was 9, she competed in horse shows. She also performed in musicals in school, and sang in the All State Choir, District Honor Choir, and Swing Choir.
After high school, she received a full music and academic scholarship, where she majored in vocal performance and opera at the University of New Mexico, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in music. She's performed on Broadway in multiple theater productions with lead roles in such plays as The King and I, The Secret Garden, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. She also had major roles in operassuch as The Merry Widow, The Medium and die Fledermaus.
After moving to Nashville, Melanie got a job bartending three nights and singing two nights at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. She keeps busy writing music, singing demos and going out on the road with her band.
