Angela Hacker is the final person to sing tonight.
In her pre-taped video, she talks about how her son wanted to meet Blake and Anastasia, and then he asked her when she was coming back home. She says she's so busy with the competition that she doesn't always think about how much time she's not getting to spend with her son until she sees him. Then, she thinks about not getting to take him to school, and not going home to cook dinner, that's when it really hits. But, she says she knows it will all be worth it in the end.
Angela sings "If You're Not In It For Love (I'm Outta Here)"
Anastasia: Is that song really deeper than "Mary Had a Little Lamb?" I don't think that song is you.
Blake: For once, I've got to agree with Anastasia. For me, that's not the Angela that I've been getting to know for the past five episodes.
Randy: It bothers me to agree with these two, but you are so incredible, but, tonight, with this song, and not being what I feel like is you, you've opened the door for three or four others.
My thoughts: When I first heard her sing this, I thought like Anastasia said, the song doesn't fit her. She sang it well, but it's probably her worst performance of the season. Not bad, but just not great, as usual.
Troy is ready to finally put someone out of their misery. We find out that David and Angela aren't the Top 2, but they are moving on. Next, Jewel takes out Zac and asks him if he thinks his name will be inside the envelope. He says there's always a chance. She says he's moving on. So, again, we are down to Whitney and Joshua. And the person to go home with is Whitney Duncan.
Jewel talks to Whitney asking her how she feels. She says she's happy to have the experience and the opportunity, and she's going to go camping with her boyfriend.
Once again, we get to see the clips of the performances to vote on.
Another week has gone by. It was a disappointing show. No one wowed me, but then no one really sucked. I'm going to have a hard time ranking these performances when they were all so mediocre.
Next week, we find out that the current Nashville Star, Chris Young will stop by to show us how it's done. Also, Blake Shelton will sing his latest hit, "Don't Make Me."
Don't forget the final four will be going on tour this summer, so check out the USA website for more information on cities that they'll be visiting. Unfortunately, nothing in CA, so I'm disappointed. I got to see the tour last year with Chris Young, Casey Rivers, Nicole Jamrose and Matt Mason, and it was great. I think that Angela, Zac, David and Joshua would put on a great show as well.
