This week the reigning Nashville Star, Chris Young, opens the show with a performance of his new single, "Girl, You're Gonna Love Me." As always, I am loving me some Chris!
Jewel and Cowboy Troy remind us that this is the most important night to vote, as whoever has the most votes this week is the new Nashville Star.
This week, our finalists go back home to perform in front of the home town crowd.
The first person to perform is Zac Hacker.
We see a clip of Zac's trip home: They show him in the car, heading home, and he talks about being ready to come home. He really misses being home. He introduces his father, showing pictures, and talks about his father's band, along with his brothers, called the Hacker Brothers. Zac talks about when he was younger, he visited his grandfather's house, where at the age of 18, he was at a crossroads in his life. He said this was where he read a lot of the New Testament, and had considered being a preacher, but he chose music, because music has allowed him to connect with a lot of people. Later, he gets the key to the city and performs in front of his friends and family in a packed room at the Alabama Hall of Fame. He says part of him is flipping out, but part of him is saying, I could really get used to this.
Blake: I don't think anyone has ever accused you of not being able to sing. There's something that I want to say. I wish I could think of a better way to say... You're a very sexy man.
Anastasia: Oh, Zac, I happen to agree with Blake, I'm glad I'm sitting down, because I'm weak in the knees.
Randy: Zac, how old are you?
Zac: 23.
Randy: Promise me... if you win, congratulations. But, if you don't, please try it again, because that was so moving. It made me feel something, really special.
My Thoughts: Amazing performance!! Angela has some major catching up to do this week. She's always been most people's choice for the winner, but that may have just changed after this wonderful performance by her brother Zac.
