Shawn Mayer, 21, is a self-professed tomboy, who has worked on a hog farm, is a mechanic and a volunteer firefighter. When she was going to school, she spent her weekends earning money by performing in bars, rather than hanging out at malls. Her parents encouraged her to pursue her dreams, and she left Iowa and her boyfriend, to move to Tennessee, and make her dreams come true.
