Koch Records Signs Two New Artists
Koch Records Nashville has signed two new artists that will release their debut projects for the label February 22, 2005. The highly anticipated Americana duo, Hacienda Brothers, and Texas' favorite Country cowboy, Dallas Wayne will release their CDs on the same day and heralds the new alternative country direction the label is taking.
The Hacienda Brothers self-titled CD is a joint venture between Chris Gaffney (Cold Hard Facts and one of Dave Alvin's Guilty Men) and Dave Gonzalez (guitarist/founder of The Paladins). The project was produced by the soul legend, Dan Penn, who wrote such classics as "Dark End Of The Street," "Do Right Man," and "I'm Your Puppet." Highlights of the CD include a wonderful new soul tune written by Gonzalez and Penn, "Looking For Loneliness," seven band originals, a Fred Neil composition, an obscure Dallas Frazier gem, and a truck drivin' tune by the great Carl Montgomery.
