Toby Keith Releases Brand New Single "Honky Tonk U"

Singer/songwriter and acclaimed country entertainer Toby Keith's first full length studio album since 2003's acclaimed quadruple platinum Shock'N Y'all is set for a May 17 street date, a timeline reinforced last week in the recording studio. Toby, producer James Stroud and an all-star cast of musicians gathered to record "Honky Tonk U," a semi-autobiographical first single that harkens back to days spent working in his grandmother's nightclub.

Recorded and readied in less than a week, "Honky Tonk U" is set to release to radio on Wednesday, January 26th. More...

More Legal Trouble for Lynn Anderson

According to the AP, Grammy winner Lynn Anderson was arrested Monday night for allegedly shoplifting a Harry Potter DVD at a Taos, N.M. grocery store. Anderson is also accused of punching a police officer during her arrest. An arraignment has been scheduled for later this week.

Anderson also found herself in trouble with the law in December when she was charged with drunk driving. Police found Anderson passed out in her car on the side of Interstate 95 in Denton, TX.

Anderson recently received a Grammy nod for The Bluegrass Sessions on DM Records.

Womack Album Hits Stores in February

There's More Where That Came From, the seventh album to be released by MCA recording artist Lee Ann Womack, hits stores nationwide February 8. The 12-track album includes Womack's new hit single, "I May Hate Myself In The Morning."

"I have never been more proud of an album in my entire career," said Womack. "I've put all my heart and soul into collecting and recording what I feel are the most outstanding songs. This compilation is an album I've dreamed of making since I was a young Texas girl listening to the classics."

On Thursday, January 20, Womack debuted the album on the legendary Ryman stage to a packed house of friends, family, Nashville tastemakers, as well as Los Angeles and New York press.
