Paisley, Evans Project Among Dove Nominees

Last year, current tour partners Brad Paisley and Sara Evans co-wrote and recorded a duet of “New Again,” for the album, The Passion of the Christ – Songs. Earlier this week, the project earned a nomination as Special Event Album of the Year for the 36th Annual GMA Music Awards. The prestigious Dove Awards, as they’re also known, will be held this year at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House on April 13.

Vincent Sweeps Seattle for ‘Love Interest’ Stars of Starbucks Line Up

Men in Seattle, Washington are receiving a special Valentine's present this year. Rounder Records recording artist Rhonda Vincent is searching for a 'sweetheart' from Seattle. Vincent is filming the video for her next single "I've Forgotten You" in Seattle.

Merle Kilgore, one of the most significant songwriters and entertainers in American musical history, will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee. He died the evening of February 6, 2005, from congestive heart failure onset from medical complications related to ongoing treatment for cancer over the last few months.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, sons Steve and Duane Kilgore, daughters, Pam Compton, Kim Pomeroy, and Shane McBee, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. More...

Blaine Larsen's Off To Join The World Holds Strong In Second Week Number One Streamed Video On CMT

BNA Records artist Blaine Larsen enjoys an incredible second week as his Off To Join The World album shows its sales strength at number 14 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. This week's sales of 11,332 is a drop of only 12% from his debut week, an incredible number compared to an industry standard second week drop of 60%.

While his powerful single, "How Do You Get That Lonely," continues to climb the singles chart (23 on R&R and 25 on Billboard), the music video is the Number One streamed video for the second week in a row, according to CMT.com. Additionally, the album is the fifth most sought after on CMT.com, as well.

On the digital charts, "How Do You Get That Lonely" had a 50% increase in downloads from last week.

Garth Brooks schedules rare performance

Garth is making a rare appearance on February 13, 2005 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas. The performance is part of a benefit to raise money for a piece of medical equipment for Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth. See CMT.com for the full story.
