Americana/Country Artist, Robert Earl Keen, Debuts New CD On Knoxville Radio Stations WIVK-FM And WDVX-FM
Koch Records Nashville artist, Robert Earl Keen, played at Knoxville's newly renovated Tennessee Theatre last Friday and dropped by WIVK-FM studios for an on-air interview and to world premiere his new CD, "What I Really Mean," that releases May 10. Midday Air Personality/Music Director, Colleen Addair, played the title cut, which will be the first single, and the song, "Wild Ones," from the new album.
The next stop in Knoxville was to the Americana radio station, WDVX-FM, where Air Personality/General Manager, Tony Lawson, had Keen autograph a box of tampons! Keen said this was a first for him but he was game to do it. The station has several different items that artists' sign that are used as fundraisers for the listener supported station. Of course everyone remembers the line in Keen's classic Christmas song, "Merry Christmas From The Family," that talks about buying a box of tampons and other unique items from the Stop N'Go. More...

Columbia Records newcomer is adding Rascal Flatts to her impressive list
of tour partners who include John Fogerty, Travis Tritt, Wynonna, and Brad
Paisley, among others. Shelly will join the guys on ten dates stopping in
Gainesville, Florida on Feb. 18, Columbia, South Carolina on Feb. 19,
Columbus, Georgia on Feb. 20, Reading, Pennsylvania on Feb. 25, Amherst,
Maine on February 26, Trenton, New Jersey on Feb. 27, Austin, TX on March
4, Bossier City, Louisiana on March 5, Southaven, Mississippi on March 11
and Biloxi, Mississippi on March 12.
Shelly will be featured on the Travel Channel's series "Fantasy Living" on Feb. 28th at 8pm EST in an episode on fantasy buses. They caught up with Shelly on the ROCK THE VOTE TOUR in St. Louis. Part of the tour entourage was the John Lennon Education Bus which is equipped with a full recording studio. Shelly demonstrated how the studio works by recording some of her current single, "Tiny Town."

Buddy Jewell will stop by the CMT studios on Thursday, February 17, to
World Premiere the new video for his single, "If She Were Any Other Woman"
on the popular program, "Top Twenty Countdown." Buddy will join host
Lance Smith and reveal to the audience a behind-the-scenes story on the
making of the video. This is the first video which features a special
appearance by his wife of 16 years, Tené. Music Row's Robert K. Oermann
wrote, "Buddy is right up there with our finest country singers."
MONTGOMERY GENTRY:
Montgomery Gentry take a break from their "Turn It Up & Bring It On Tour"
with Trace Adkins and Cledus T. Judd to film an episode of "Blue Collar
TV" on Feb. 16. (Air date to be announced.) They pick back up with the
tour on Thursday, February 17 in Pt. Huron, Michigan. Of their one-off
concert in San Antonio, the newspaper wrote, "Montgomery Gentry doesn't
disappoint fans" and that Montgomery Gentry "lived up to its reputation"

Dierks Bentley Set to Release Modern Day Drifter
Dierks Bentleys new CD Modern Day Drifter is set for release May 10. Bentley will perform at Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS. The event takes place June 23-26.
Sugarland Single Breaks Ten
Sugarland's debut single "Baby Girl" headed into the Billboard Top 10 last week, marking the first time in three years that a new country group scored a Top 10 hit with their debut single. Emerson Drive was the last to do so with "I Should Be Sleeping" in 2002.
