Larsen Performs for WPOC

BNA Newcomer Blaine Larsen performed a free show for 93.1 WPOC and area country music fans at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie, MD. About 500 people showed up and were treated to a 30-minute set and a question and answer session hosted by 93.1 WPOC’s Morning Host, Laurie DeYoung. Blaine played music from his CD, Off to Join the World and was accompanied by keyboardist Jamie Teachenor, who also co-wrote Larsen’s current single, “How Do You Get That Lonely?” Coincidently, label mate Kenny Chesney also played a free show at Marley Station earlier in his career.

While Larsen was in town, he also stopped at the USO at Baltimore Washington International Airport and met the director Adrienne Trout with WPOC Promotion Coordinator Steve Reuss. Larsen toured the USO and learned more about the site from which thousands of servicemen and women pass through on their way to Iraq, Afghanistan and other overseas locations.

Elam’s CD Released in Canada in Time for Tour

Katrina Elam's self-titled debut CD hits stores in Canada this week, just in time for Her first Canadian tour dates. For the second year in a row, Keith Urban has invited Katrina Elam to join him on tour, and the Canadian leg of the "Alive in '05!" kicks off on March 26 in Vancouver, BC.

Katrina Elam was released in the U.S. last fall the same week the Universal South artist embarked on her first national tour, opening for Urban. Last year, Katrina and Keith performed for sell-out crowds across the U.S., and their tour starts back up again on March 10th in Katrina's hometown of Oklahoma City. Katrina will also open Urban's three sold-out shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in March.

Elam stops by the studios of Great American Country to perform her new single "I Want A Cowboy" on Country Request Live. Her appearance will air this Thursday, February 17th and will repeat on Saturday, February 19th.

Next week, Katrina fans can catch up with her on-line, as she will host her very first on-line fan chat on Wednesday, February 23rd at KatrinaElam.com
