'Key Largo' singer/songwriter Bertie Higgins returns with southern-flavored party anthem
Best known for his 1982 international smash "Key Largo," a hit on country radio as well as reaching No. 8 on the Billboard charts, singer/songwriter Bertie Higgins is back with "The Redneck Riviera," an invigorating blast of country rock that'll ignite parties from the southeast to the northwest. Named after the gorgeous seashore between New Orleans and South Florida, "The Redneck Riviera" finds Higgins in a jubilant mood as foot-stomping fiddles, driving electric guitar, and Higgins' bluesy vocals wake up the neighbors and inspire listeners to enjoy life to its fullest. Make no mistake: Higgins is back with his most infectious and uplifting single to date.
Aaron Tippin Scares the Pants Off Paris and Nicole
In early January, Aaron Tippin received a call from the Producers of Fox TVs The Simple Life. Tippin was in the running to be considered for this seasons reality show in which Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie (and their little dog too) make a pit-stop to visit Music City. Aaron and Thea Tippin graciously invited the producers out to their home in Liberty, TN. Thea was a little apprehensive, but, I figured what they heck a couple of girls running around scandally clad? It sounded like fun to me! says Tippin. When the two young producers arrived, Aaron took them on a full tour of the grounds. We took em to the barn, showed them the helicopter and then brought them out to the gun range. I even showed them my gun vault filled with my pride and joy gun collection that ranges from a machine gun to a shot gun. adds, Tippin. I took out the AR15 (an automatic rifle just like the guns they are using in Iraq), shot a couple of rounds and then handed it to the producer, Evan, and encourged him to try.
In the past, The Simple Life sought out host families that could and would play the straight man role with Nicole and Paris. But this time around, show producers were looking for families with big personalities. Seems like the Tippin family would have naturally fit the bill. In addition to being a renowned country artist who stands for something, Aaron is a licensed gun dealer and pilot. He and his wife, Thea, have two young boys that they are raising on a farm and they have a winery as well as an old Country store. More...
