Hayes Carll Releases New Album, Little Rock, On March 8
Hayes Carll, one of the best of a new breed of Texas singer/songwriters, releases his sophomore album, Little Rock, on March 8. This self-described "twisted folk singer" serves up an album full of rough and ragged songs that deliver a gut-punch of honesty and gritty realism. If you can tell the character of a person by the company they keep, then Carll is in good shape. He teamed with roots producer extraordinaire R.S. Field (Billy Joe Shaver, Sonny Landreth, Buddy Guy) for this project--the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2003 debut, Flowers and Liquor.
