Urban Among Headliners at Country Stampede

The 10th Annual Affiliated Food’s Midwest Country Stampede festival, to be held June 23-26 in Manhattan, KS will feature performances by Keith Urban, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, ZZ Top, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Dierks Bentley and more. In addition, the festival will introduce two performance tents, McGraw’s stage and the Capital Federal Family Stage, as well as one interactive tent, appropriately named the Songwriter’s Stage, with festivities running throughout the day and into the night.

The RC McGraw's / Rambler's Saloon will host festival favorites Harry Luge and Dustin Evans in between main stage performances and well into the evening.

The Red Bull Extreme Team Moto-X will also perform on-site Saturday on three separate occasions.

Vincent’s ‘Ragin’ Live’ A Critical Favorite

Ragin' Live, the new CD/DVD by bluegrass maven Rhonda Vincent, has caught the attention of critic's worldwide. The project, which was recorded live in Vincent's home state of Missouri, moved into the big leagues this week as People Magazine (April 11th Issue) dubbed Ragin' Live as their Critic's Choice, giving it 3.5 stars out of a possible four and recommending it to their readers. On CNN Headline News, Show Biz Tonight’s Mark Dagostino sang Vincent's praises in his "Picks & Pans" segment on Monday evening calling Vincent's Ragin' Live "phenomenal" and recommending the project "for those looking to expand their tastes in music."

The disc also received praise in The Charlotte Observer, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Washington Post.

Capitol Records Honors LeDoux With Single Release

As a tribute to Chris LeDoux, Capitol Records Nashville will release "The Ride" from his most recent album Horsepower. The label will ship the song to radio on April 18.

"Since the passing of our friend, Chris LeDoux, many of you have called to request a single or a focus track," said Mike Dungan, President/CEO, Capitol Records Nashville. "After much deliberation and discussion with the LeDoux family, we have decided that the philosophy and the spirit of this wonderful man is perfectly captured in 'The Ride.'”

Johnnie Bubar to Release American Dream

One of Country music's rising stars, Johnnie Bubar (Circle S Records), is releasing his second album, American Dream, on April 15. American Dream showcases Johnnie's unique style of Country music as well as his songwriting capabilities and reflects his goal of becoming a respected Country artist.

"When the opportunity presented itself for this project, I wanted it to be different and much better than the previous efforts (both of which award winners) and prove both myself and the music are worthy of being in the national and international spotlight and be on stage with the best in the business. I have also had the opportunity to work with some truly gifted individuals for which I'm very appreciative. New York City, Chevrolet And Country Music Association Announce Revolutionary Marketing Partnership

Deputy New York City Mayor Daniel Doctoroff joined Chevrolet General Director of Advertising and Sales Promotion Kim Kosak and CMA Vice President of Strategic Marketing Rick Murray and NYC's Chief Marketing Officer Joseph Perello to unveil a revolutionary marketing partnership built around the CMA Awards, which will be held for the first time outside of Nashville this year when the gala takes place Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

"Traditional municipal marketing models across America have tended to be one dimensional. When New York City created NYC Big Events and NYC Marketing, our goal was to think outside of the box and bring together multiple partners and marketing resources to create tremendous added value to the events we are attracting to NYC," Doctoroff said.
