Parker Guitars Present Country Music Legend Merle Haggard with a Southern NiteFly for his 68th Birthday

Parker Guitars presented a Southern NiteFly to Merle Haggard in honor of his contribution to country music on his 68th birthday. Merle performed on tour with Bob Dylan at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago Wednesday night.

Merle Haggard is considered to be a living legend in the country music scene. His first album, Strangers, was released in 1965 and he has since released well over two hundred records. Merle was nominated for the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 1977 and elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994. With thirty eight #1 songs, forty four Country Music Award nominations, and Grammy awards, Merle Haggard is one of the most influential singer/songwriter’s in country music history. Merle also takes pride in being the only male country music performer featured on the cover of Downbeat Magazine.

Riders In The Sky Set For 5000th Career Appearance

America’s Favorite Cowboys, Riders In The Sky, will reach yet another monumental milestone on April 16, 2005 when they will appear for the 5000th performance of their long and illustrious career. The appearance will be at Cincinnati’s Taft Theatre, where the Grammy Award-winning artists will perform in front of a live audience for a special taping of “Riders Radio Theatre”, the on-going NPR radio show that is currently hosted by WVXU-FM.

CMA Music Festival Single Night Coliseum Concert Tickets On Sale Today

CMA continues its popular program of offering single night, reserved seat concert tickets for the star-packed shows at The Coliseum during the 2005 CMA Music Festival for only $30 per ticket, per night. “Country Music’s Biggest Party™” runs Thursday through Sunday, June 9-12, in Downtown Nashville.

“The single night tickets for the Nightly Concerts at The Coliseum are the best entertainment value around,” said Ed Benson, CMA Executive Director. “Only at CMA Music Festival can fans see today’s hottest artists performing with state-of-the-art production for such a low ticket price. Superstar Alan Jackson to Play Leno and Launch 2005 What I Do Tour on April 22

Fans of Arista Nashville superstar Alan Jackson are eagerly awaiting April 22 as it marks both a return visit to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the launch of the three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year's much-anticipated 2005 What I Do Tour, joined by chart-topper Sara Evans and ACR/RCA debut-recording artists, The Wrights. Following the Tonight Show taping in California, Jackson will make his way to Las Vegas, where the tour kicks off with a night at the MGM Grand.
