Chely Wright Announces Additional Artists To Perform at Reading Writing & Rhythm Event
Vivaton recording artist Chely Wright, founder of Reading Writing & Rhythm, has announced more artists have been added to the list of guests who will donate their time and talent to perform at the 4th Annual Chely Wright and Friends Benefit Concert at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon Tuesday, June 8, @ 8:00PM.
Big & Rich, Rachel Proctor and SHeDAISY have been added to the star-studded line-up joining Jenny Gill, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Jimmy Wayne, and special guest, Martina McBride who will perform at the Year 2004 charity event. JESSI ALEXANDER: Just before leaving for Vegas last week, Jessi Alexander received a phone call from producer Garth Fundis. Trisha Yearwood was in the studio recording Jessi's song "Baby Don't You Let Go" and requested that she sing backup. The Columbia Nashville artist received the call at 4:00 pm and was in the studio at 5:00 pm to record for one of her heroes. During ACM week, Jessi performed in the Sony Music Suite and was escorted to the show by label president John Grady. The attached photo is Jessi and Sony Music's Susan Myers showing off a $100 bill Grady just gave them to hit the casino. No word on the outcome of the gambling excursion.
BRAD COTTER: There's no rest in sight for the new "Nashville Star" winner and Epic newcomer Brad Cotter. With his new single "I Meant To" steadily climbing the charts, Brad takes to road, making a few radio station visits. On June 5, he'll join Gretchen Wilson and Reba in concert at the WXTU Birthday Bash in Philadelphia. He travels from there to Pittsburgh to perform for WDSY (Y-108's Hot Country Jam) with Buddy Jewell before returning to Nashville to begin Music Festival week. On June 8, he'll perform at the IFCO show and make appearances in several signing booths. On June 12, he'll perform at Music Fest's Riverfront Stages Show at 11:30 am. June 18 marks the kickoff of the "Nashville Star" tour. Brad will join Matt Lindahl, Lance Miller and George Canyon on the 30-date tour beginning in Kettering, Ohio. The Mavericks To Record First-Ever Live DVD/CD
Multi-platinum, Grammy-winning group the Mavericks will hit the legendary stage of Austin's (Tex.) Stubbs' Barbecue tomorrow night, June 2nd, for a concert to be filmed and recorded for a live DVD/CD to be released this September on Sanctuary Records. The forthcoming project will be the Mavericks' first-ever live concert film and CD released in the United States.
The concert will include the Mavericks performing high-octane versions of all of their hits, plus several new songs, and even a few of the band's "favorites" by other artists. Jimmy Buffett Pairs With Country's Biggest Stars For New RCA Album
Following the monumental success of his chart-topping (plus CMA and ACM award-winning) duet with Alan Jackson, "It's Five O' Clock Somewhere," Jimmy Buffett sails farther into country waters with a new album, "License To Chill," featuring duets with some of country's top entertainers.

Sara Evans Heads to The View
RCA Records' multi-platinum singer & songwriter SARA EVANS will share the couch with Barbara Walters and the gals on the ABC-TV a.m. chatfest "The View" June 7. The recent ACM Top Female Vocalist nominee will treat the audience to a performance of her Top Five hit "Perfect." Evans joins a select group of country artists such as Reba, Faith, Tim and Martina to perform on one of the most popular morning programs, which has won 16 daytime Emmy Awards in its seven-year history.
Following her appearance on "The View" fans can also catch Sara once again on the small screen as she hosts CMT's new show, "100 Greatest Love Songs," with Joe Nichols during CMA Festival Week in Nashville June 9.
