David Frizzell Builds Momentum

Nashville America Recording Artist David Frizzell is keeping busy these days. Aside from touring and promoting his current single, "It Takes Me All Night Long", Frizzell has been busy working on 3 upcoming CD projects that will show the progression of his music spanning the last 3 decades. One CD will be a collection of songs re-released by Frizzell and his duet partner, Shelly West. A second CD will feature new songs by David as well as a never-released track recorded over 27 years ago with West. "This was the first song we ever recorded," explains Frizzell, "no one has ever heard it and I kept it sounding exactly the same as 27 years ago. It¹s a true treasure." Lonestar to give Special Gift to young country fan and cancer survivor Colleen Pratl at this year’s Country Thunder USA Festival, in Twin Lakes, WI July 22-25th

Out of roughly 150,000 fans that will be attending this year's Country Thunder USA Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, one in particular stands out. Cancer survivor Colleen Pratl will get her wish to meet country group Lonestar and tell them how their music has influenced her attitude and perspective on her 4-year struggle with a brain tumor. Colleen shares her thoughts on this once in a lifetime opportunity. “I would like to thank you [Country Thunder USA] for doing all this for me. I can’t wait to meet and greet Lonestar. I like Lonestar because all their songs have a deep meaning. One of my many favorites is “Front Porch Looking In” and I like it because of the part about a “blue eyed blond” because it reminds me of my little sister Theresa. I also like them because they seem like they are down to earth and always have time for their fans. Gretchen Wilson World Premieres New Video

Gretchen Wilson's second music video and title track from her almost-double-platinum album Here For The Party will world premiere in Hot Shot rotation on CMT's "Top Twenty Countdown" on July 22. The clip features performance footage shot at the CMA Music Festival and b-roll from a variety of locations that give the viewer a glimpse of Wilson off stage. The performance portion of the video was shot at the very end of the CMA Music Festival following Hank Williams, Jr.'s set.

Craig Morgan & Broken Bow Records Utilize Tour To Benefit Others

Craig Morgan and his record label BBR have created two special promotions benefiting military members and raising food for the needy.

Thanks to the Macoupin County Fair and WSMI Radio in Carlinville IL, where Craig will be appearing July 24, listeners had the opportunity to donate tickets to a local military organization by purchasing tickets during a designated window of time on Monday, July 19. For each ticket purchased, one ticket was donated to the Air National Guard in Springfield. The tickets will be distributed to soldiers so they may enjoy Morgan's show free of charge. This promotion is a natural tie-in for Morgan, who served in the Army with the 82nd & 101st Airborne Divisions, Operation Just Cause and Operation Desert Storm and who has entertained troops during USO tours of Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East. Proving that he his at the top of his game and on top of the country music industry, Curb Records is proud to announce that Tim McGraw has now set the record for the most cumulative weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, with a total of 58 weeks at the top, since the implementation of the Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) era, which began in January 1990.
