Billy Joe Shaver Celebrates 65th Birthday Live In Austin With A Couple Of Friends

Billy Joe Shaver, on the eve of the release of his new album Billy and the Kid, will celebrate his 65th birthday in Austin with a show billed as the Billy Joe Shaver Birthday Bash at the Paramount Theater, 719 N. Congress Ave. in Austin, on August 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Shaver will be paid tribute by a number of his musical friends. Signed on to appear (so far) are Guy Clark, Todd Snider, Bruce Robison, Jessi Colter, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely, Kinky Friedman, Robert Duvall, Jack Ingram, Dale Watson and more, with several more in the process of coming on board. Tim McGraw Wins "Georgie Award"

Tim McGraw accepts the “Georgie Award” on the evening of his performance for breaking the attendance record at The Gorge in George, Washington July 17, 2004 when nearly 23,000 fans attended his OUT LOUD concert.

This was the most ever for the Gorge in attendance by any act of any genre. He also did it in 100 degree weather.

A few days before he broke the attendance record for a country act at the Blossom in Cleveland, Ohio with over 23,000.
