The Canadian Country Music Association released the nominees for their awards this morning, and country super-group Emerson Drive received nods in the following categories:

Emerson Drive spent the end of 2003 and the spring of 2004 on the road with Shania Twains UP! Tour. Their second album, WHAT IF was released on June 29th and their second single from the album, November hits radio on August 16th.
The guys are going to school this fall as they round out 2004 with the Last One Standing Tour, making its way around nearly 20 college campuses starting August 22nd at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Alison Krauss + Union Station To Release Album on Rounder
Multiple Grammy-winning platinum artists Alison Krauss + Union Station are in Nashville putting the finishing touches on a new album to be released in November on Rounder Records. The new recording follows 2002's platinum Alison Krauss + Union Station Live, their fastest selling album ever.
In other Alison Krauss + Union Station news: Krauss and Dan Tyminski will Return for the second year in a row to host the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards in Louisville, KY on October 7. Multi-instrumentalist Ron Block has also been tapped to deliver the keynote address at IBMA this year.
In June, Tyminski and Jerry Douglas performed at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. Earlier that month, Douglas was named a recipient of the National Heritage Fellowship, the nation's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts, bestowed by the National Endowment for the Arts.
CMT Premieres 'Controversy: Johnny Cash Vs. Music Row'
CMT remembers Johnny Cash with a weekend of programming commemorating the one-year anniversary of his death. CMT will premiere Controversy: Johnny Cash Vs. Music Row on September 11 at 8-9 p.m., ET/PT. Additional CMT original programming will include encore telecasts of the Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute, Inside Fame: Johnny Cash, CMT 40 Greatest Men Of Country Music and a new episode of Stacked: Johnny Cash.
In an expanded one-hour episode of the Controversy series, Controversy: Johnny Cash Vs. Music Row, is the story of the artistic struggle between Cash and mainstream country music in the 1980s.
The show features recent interviews with daughter and Grammy award winner Rosanne Cash; close friend and Grammy award winning singer/songwriter/actor Kris Kristofferson; famed producer Rick Rubin; longtime manager and confidante Lou Robin; noted author and music critic Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stone), and more.

Tim McGraw Tour Extends Into Fall
Tim McGraws summer tour, OUT LOUD, played to 500,000 people during its 33-city run. The tour kicked off in June and wrapped its first leg in Nashville on August 1. The tour extends through mid-October with a name change as the concerts move to indoor arenas, Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors Fall Tour 2004. McGraw raises the bar on his touring standards with a set that includes screens that have the ability to take 18 separate feeds and also move and layer with each new song performance.
