Tim McGraw’s Annual Swampstock Turns Ten

Superstar Tim McGraw returns home to northeast Louisiana to host his 10th Annual Celebrity Concert and Softball Challenge – Swampstock 2004. The all-star event will take place on September 19 at the Tim McGraw Sports Complex in Rayville, Louisiana. Proceeds from the event will benefit deserving causes in the immediate area. In the past, Swampstock has supported such causes as Rayville’s Dixie League Baseball and the Steve Colvin Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Among those already confirmed to appear with McGraw are Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Jeff Bates and tour mates Big & Rich and the Warren Brothers. Fans can also expect a few surprise appearances. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 28 at Tim McGraw.com. The Swampstock 2004 online charity auction begins September 7 at Tim McGraw.com.

This year’s auction will include items from Toby Keith, Loretta Lynn, Karl Malone and Clint Black among many other music and sports stars. Tradition predicts that the auction will end with McGraw and Hill signed softball jerseys from this year’s game.

Harrah's Las Vegas And Toby Keith Sign Deal To Open New Venue

Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel announced today that it will build a themed bar, restaurant and entertainment venue with award-winning country music star, Toby Keith.

The center strip resort will build a Toby Keith themed venue, slated for a summer, 2005, opening, featuring a bar/lounge, restaurant and retail store. The restaurant will offer American casual food, and the bar/lounge will feature Keith music and videos, a special recording studio, private dining area, stage and dance floor for live country acts, and surprise personal appearances by Keith himself. Rachel Proctor & The Kentucky State Fair Welcome Second Largest Crowd Ever To Cardinal Stadium

More than 16,000 fans, the second largest crowd ever at the Kentucky State Fair, jammed into Cardinal Stadium last night and cheered on newcomer Rachel Proctor and her 30-minute opening set for fellow West Virginian and three-time platinum selling artist, Brad Paisley.

As the sun set on a beautiful evening in the Bluegrass State, Rachel brought the crowd to their feet and tears to her eyes as they sang along with her on the Top 20, self-penned hit, "Me and Emily." She closed her show with "Where Would You Be," the co-written tune that Martina McBride took to top ten and the crowd responded with a standing ovation. More...

Toby Keith Teams Up On L.A. Stage With Living Legends Merle Haggard And Jerry Lee Lewis

Goodness gracious! Last Saturday night, L.A.¹s Staples Center became a one-night-only Hall of Fame concert stage as DreamWorks Records superstar Toby Keith was joined on stage by musical living legends Merle Haggard and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Haggard joined Toby on two songs, "Ramblin' Fever" and "Mama Tried." Jerry Lee Lewis then sat at the piano for a rollicking version of his immortal "Great Balls of Fire." Said the Orange County Register "The goosebumps it gave the crowd were well-earned." More...
