Get ready for the hot new video from Columbia Records' Shelly Fairchild. CMT will World Premiere the video for her debut single, "You Don't Lie Here Anymore" on Thursday, September 2 on their "Top 20 Countdown." The video - directed by Kristin Barlowe - features the sultry Shelly telling a cheatin' boyfriend exactly where he can go. Look for the video to air on GAC and VH1 Country as well. Shelly's debut single, "You Don't Lie Here Anymore" hits radio airwaves on Sept. 27.

Shelly brought her show to Nashville last week and performed for a crowd consisting of a who's who in the music business. With an incredible portable stage that she's using on her radio tour visits, Shelly wowed the audience with songs from her February 1 debut album Ride. The crowd included Wayne Isaacs from VH1, Ed Benson from CMA, Steve Buchanan from the Grand Ole Opry, reps from GAC, CMT, Country Weekly, CMT Magazine, numerous syndicated radio folks as well as artists such as Radney Foster, Elizabeth Cook and Dean Miller, among others.

MIRANDA LAMBERT:
Texas born artist Miranda Lambert delivered a high energy showcase this weekend in Austin performing songs from her Epic Records debut before a crowd of industry tastemakers and a lively Austin crowd. After playing, Miranda sang "Loving Arms" dedicating the song to her mom and dad who were celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary that night. CMA Announces Newest Members Of Country Music Hall Of Fame

The Country Music Association has announced that former music industry executive Jim Foglesong and legendary singer/songwriter Kris Kristofferson will become the newest members of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. Formal induction for the pair will take place during "The 38th Annual CMA Awards," which will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network, Tuesday, Nov. 9 (8:00-11:00 PM/EST) from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. CMA Announces Hosts for Show

One of the most anticipated announcements at the 2004 CMA Awards Press Conference wasn’t just the stellar list of artist nominees, but who would take over hosting duties for “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” when “The 38th Annual CMA Awards” airs live Tuesday, Nov. 9 (8:00-11:00 PM/EST) on the CBS Television Network.

After perennial host Vince Gill stepped down in January, just who would host the CMA Awards became one of the most highly discussed and anticipated announcements of the past year, and the decision is now official: Multi-Platinum, multi-talented duo Brooks & Dunn will host the 2004 CMA Awards with a variety of special guests including music superstar Shania Twain. McGraw Single Ties 30-Year R&R Record

Tim McGraw ties a 30-year record at Radio & Records as his current single “Live Like You Were Dying” stays atop at #1 on the country singles chart for its ninth consecutive week. The hit is the debut song from his new album Live Like You Were Dying. This feat also becomes the longest running #1 single of McGraw’s career to date.

The only other song to achieve nine weeks at #1 in R&R’s history was Lonestar’s “Amazed” in 1999.
